1973 Triumph TR6 mimosa yellow

Original survivor from Texas – solid body and running engine.

Imported from Texas, where it was registered since at least 1996 and last driven in 2003, this 1973 Triumph TR6 presents a rare opportunity for practical enthusiasts. Still wearing its Mimosa Yellow paint – an older respray – the car offers an honest starting point with an exceptionally solid body for an unrestored Triumph TR.

In our workshop, the original engine was carefully brought back to life with fresh oil and filter, a new fuel pump and fuel filter, and a replacement of the clogged fuel line. An external ignition wire was installed for test-running purposes. The engine runs with good oil pressure and responsive throttle, despite the untouched carburettors and aged fuel.

The clutch and gearbox are functional, though the braking system is inoperative. The odometre indicates a total mileage of 95.911.

Bodywork shows small dents on the front fenders, left door and a repairable area on the top edge of the right rear wing (for which it was sold by the insurance company on a salvage title). Perforation is limited to the battery tray, rear wheel mud traps, and several areas in the floorboards – overall very respectable for a U.S. import in unrestored condition.

Inside, the black vinyl interior will require complete renovation. Missing components include the wooden luggage board, jack, and plastic centre caps for the wheels.

A straight, largely complete TR6 survivor, ready for a thorough restoration.

Price: € 9.500
