The Mercedes-Benz W124 has become a beloved classic that is celebrated for its exceptional build quality, reliability and timeless design. This particular 300E, which came to us as a trade-in car, is a testament to its reputation: with well over 400.000 km of experience, the car looks and feels much younger and healthier than would be expected of its vintage.
Originally delivered in Germany, it was dealer serviced until 370.000 km (2008). In 2010, the Mercedes was first registered in the Netherlands, where it was carefully maintained by practical enthusiasts. Included are all factory booklets and its second service manual. The first service booklet (of the first 200.000 km) is unfortunately missing. Valid APK until 04/2025.
The body is generally solid, but needs some attention in typical weak spots. Light rust damage at the rear wheel arches and some age related visual imperfections. The paint was polished by the previous owner and generally presents very well.
The last service included a spark plug change and injector cleaning and testing. The engine runs very well, although the cold and warm start system could be somewhat improved. Some oil leakage is visible around the engine block, so this will be a future point of attention. Well-shifting automatic transmission.
18 inch replica BBS wheels (2019) with 2000 km old tyres. Adjustable TA-Technix suspension kit, currently at 2/3 height. Modern Pioneer radio with JBL speakers. Keyless entry system with 2 remote controls. The sunroof needs to have the cable adjusted (all parts included). Also, the car needs a new rear exhaust silencer.
A well-kept and nicely modified Mercedes that has plenty of life in it.
